Pickin' Punkins with Grandma and Grandpa!!!

Oakley's Field Trip to the Pumpkin Patch!!

Unhappy Hauntings!!!

I have found TWO black widow spiders in our garage this week!!! Eeeewwwww!!! I HATE spiders with a passion!! The first spider was hanging from the garage door. I had been loading up my car with stuff and probably passed it five times before I saw it right at eye level!!! ahhhhh!!! It totally could have landed in my hair or something!! yuck!! This is a picture of the second one. I wouldn't get too close, so I zoomed in as much as I could from a safe distance!!! You have to understand....I am having such a hard time writing this post because I despise spiders sooo much!!! Do you think I need to call an exterminator???? I have sprayed my whole house with "Home Defense" but I have no idea if I need to do more?!?!?!

The Things We Do For Our Kids!

This weekend we had our friends from Huntington here. We decided to go to Gardner Village and see the witches again. It happened to be Wee Witches Weekend and the place was packed! We decided to go feed the ducks, we were on the little deck in front of Pine Needles, Kaybree climbed up on the railing and leaned over just a little too far. Her brand new glasses fell right into the pond! First I went into the store to see if someone had a hook or hanger...anything that I could fish the glasses out with! Of course nothing! Well, I took off my shoes, took off my socks, and climbed over the railing. I thought that maybe I'd be able to reach the glasses without actually getting in, but, no go. I couldn't reach. So with one hand desperately gripping the railing, I stepped into the pond. With pond scum and pond moss oozing between my toes, I reached down and grabbed the glasses! eewwww! I handed the glasses up and climbed back over!! When I was back up on the deck, I said, "That was fun!" Some lady that was standing nearby watching said, "Well it was for me and the rest of your audience!"
The things we do for our kids!
Ashley has pictures. As soon as she emails them to me I'll post them!

Poor Oakley...

Today, Oakley got her tonsils and adenoids out. We've been up at Primary Children's Medical Center all morning. Poor thing!
Oakley is a funny girl. When we first got there, she was doing just fine. They put her ID bracelet on her wrist and that was the end of fine, she was mad! Then they gave me some PCMC pj's that they wanted her to wear, being so fashionable, she wouldn't let us put them on her! They decided to give her some medicine that helps her calm down, sort of a Valium for kids. After five minutes she was laughing and laughing. I said, "you're a Happy Drunk" she thought it was funny so she said, "I'm a Happy Drunk" the doctor and nurses started to laugh, being the clown she is, she kept saying it all the way down the hall. "I'm a Happy Drunk, I'm a Happy Drunk!" I just pray she doesn't say it in nursery next week!
After the surgery, they came and got me. They needed my help calming her down. She was mad again! (imagine that) The nurse said, "She's madder than a hornet!" Sure enough, I got back into the recovery room, and there she was, screaming! She was in her little bed, she wouldn't lay down, and she was trying to rip out her IV's!! She was definitely madder than a hornet! Once I got her to calm down, they brought Bryce back. After cuddling for a while, she started to throw-up. She threw-up the popcicle they gave her, then the juice. They say it's from the anesthesia.
As we were leaving the hospital, Oakley turns to the nurse and said, "One more thing, you need to give me a bouncy ball." She usually gets one from the doctors office every time we visit.
We are home now and she has thrown-up three more times. Poor Oakley! Even though it's an everyday procedure, it's still hard to watch your kids go through these things!

Witchy Fun!!!

Last week we went down to Gardner Village to see all the witches! They are so cute! If you get a chance, take your kids there, they will love it! If you go to the main office, they have a "Witch Hunt" paper... fill it in. Take it to the bakery and they will give you a cookie for only $.25 My girls really enjoyed being involved in finding the witches!Oakley, Sadie, Kaybree, Carson
Some cute girls!
One "HOT" momma! hahaha J/K!!!
Bryce said, "Which one is the Witch?"
Don't worry, I smacked him! hahaha!

Tonight's FHE!

I absolutely love Halloween!!! Tonight for Family Home Evening, we are going to start the PHANTOM in our neighborhood! Two years ago, we were out doorbell ditching and leaving treats and Kaybree said, "Mom, our neighbors are really hungry huh?!" Every time we do the PHANTOM, I think of that! Here is a copy of the note if you want to start it in your neighborhood too! Just copy and Paste it into word. You will have to draw, or find a picture on line, of a PHANTOM GHOST.

Good…Eve…Ning!!!

You’ve been visited by the Phantom Ghost!

If you don’t wish a curse upon this house, you must make two treats and secretly deliver them to two families in your neighborhood in two nights.

Give them a copy of this note and a Phantom Ghost. Be sure to hang your Phantom Ghost on your door to ward off any other Phantom Ghosts that may wish to visit you!

Remember to do this within two nights or you will receive a terrible fright!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Water Logged!

I'm not talking about me, or my girls, I'm talking about my phone!!!! Bryce washed it with my jeans! Bryce was only trying to help me get ready for St. George. Really I have to give him props for helping with laundry! I know there are lots of hubbies out there that don't help, so I was really very grateful for his intentions of helping! The only down side was my phone just happened to be in my pocket. I think it might have been an omen to the bad vacation ahead of me! I got a new phone yesterday, but I have no phone numbers! I used to memorize phone numbers, because I had to! In fact, I can still tell you old friends numbers, old boyfriends numbers, but I can't tell you any new numbers! I just added them to my contact list and never thought about them again! I'll have to work on that in the future! ugh!!!

The Circus!!!

We went to the circus last Friday...It was my first time as well as the girls first time to the circus! I was so amazed with the elephants! they were definitely my favorite part! I decided that is what I want to do when I grow up! hahaha!! During the whole show I kept thinking, how on earth did these people decide that is what they wanted to do with their lives?! I have nothing against that decision...but, how did they decide that the circus is where they are supposed to be? Very interesting! We had lots of fun....well until intermission. At intermission my girls were done! They enjoyed it, but they had enough. Kaybree started crying and Oakley fell asleep! It drives me nuts when we try to do something nice for the girls and it completely backfires! Oh well, it was a fun experience nonetheless!
