Today was a long day. We woke up to Oakley thowing up!!! (yummy) She stayed sick the rest of the day. By the days end, she had thrown up six times. :( Poor thing. I was very busy cleaning up one mess after another. As I passes through the family room, I couldn't help but laugh when I found them sitting on the couch with their 3D-glasses on. Kaybree is a wonderful big sister. She made sure Oakely was well taken care of all day. Just when you think you've had enough they go and do somethnig so cute! Works every time!

Happy Birthday Brookey!
Brooke's Birthday was last Friday! We went to her house and waited for her present to arrive! She got a brand new bedroom set! It is beautiful! Happy Birthday Brookey! Bryn and Mark were in town this weekend. (Those of you who don't know, they live in New Orleans! They were there during Hurricane Katrina. Yes, they lost most everything due to black mold!) Unfortunately, we didn't see any of Mark since he was working the Boat Show. Bryn however was able to play! We had to have a girls night out of course! We went to dinner then to the movies! We saw Definitely Maybe. It is so cute! Although, it made me wonder, what is the right age to tell the girls about the birds and the bees? That scares the crap out of me! (to put it mildly)

Happy Birthday Oakley!
We've been celebrating Oakely's birthday the last few days! She is 3 years old! My baby can't be 3 :( We had lots of fun! Looks like Oakley likes her cake just as much as I do!

Happy Birthday Kaybree!
We celebrated Kaybree's 5th birthday in January! It was lots and lots of fun! Of course she wanted a "Princess Party", so that is what she got! We decorated the basement with christmas lights, balloons, and sparkley garlands! We played Kiss the Frog, then defeated a royal pinata! It was truely a royal celebration!

From the Mouth's of Babe's!
A no smoking commercial came on TV. (The one with the voltures) I thought, what a perfect time to teach the girls about not smoking. Of course being the dramatic person that I am, I tell them that they could die if they smoke. I told them it would really make me sad if they ever smoked and so on.... As I conclude my speech, I say, "So, we're never ever going to smoke right?" Kaybree looks at me as serious as can be and says, "and... we will never talk to birds!" I had to laugh and let her know she could talk to what ever bird she wanted to!
Oakley, whenever we tell her to do something she looks at us and says, "never!" It may not sound funny but it really is. We say, "Can I have a kiss?" and she says, "Never!"

If something doesn't go Oakley's way she always say, "that's not fair." (with the straightest face)

I was telling Kaybree that her eyes looked tired, she said,
“My eye’s aren’t tired, but my armpits are.”
-Kaybree (3)
“Mommy, I have a tummy ache in my head.”
-Kaybree (2 ½)
“Do I have my shoes on the long feet?”
-Kaybree (3)
“Is that Landon’s tail?”
-Kaybree (3)
“Do you want some juice?”
“No thanks, I’ll just have Coke.”
-Kaybree (2)
“Cookies and Coke, hooray!”
-Kaybree (1 ½)
“Grandma, you need to go get pretty now.”
-Kaybree (2 ½)
We were at the mall and Kaybree was picking her nose. I had no idea until she said,
“I got it!”
Sure enough, I looked down and there on her finger was a great big booger.
-Kaybree (2)
“Do I have my shoes on the LONG FEET?”
-Kaybree (3)
“Are we going to see the baby at the hosible?”
-Kaybree (3)
We say to Kaybree, “Sorry Charlie.” She always cries and says, “I’m not Charlie. I’m Kaybree Cutie Pie.”

We all have our Season's
On Tuesday night, I went with my mom to her enrichment night. They had a lady speaking who has been all over the world helping people in need. She spoke of little orphans in Africa. Their parents all died from the aids virus. There wasn't a lot she could do for them. She was able to help with some of their living conditions. They were able to build a room for the children to meet in for school. She said it was very hard because no matter what they did, these kids were still orphans and living in awful surroundings, yet, the kids were so happy and grateful. Her point for the night was, "we can all make a difference in the world and in our world." As I left, I felt so so good, but as I kept driving, the more bothered I became. What can I do? I have two kids. I can't go to Africa. I can't do any of the wonderful things this lady was talking about. Then I remebered she said I can make a difference in my world. My world is much different from her world. My world consists of a wonderful husband and two beautiful daughters. I don't know why my Heavenly Father picked me for this life. I don't know why I'm not an aids victim in Africa. I'm very grateful for my life and my family and friends. I think being the best mom, wife, daughter, sister, and friend , is all I may be able to do for now, and that is okay. We all have seasons.
