Lagoon!

So, in one final attempt to cram as much fun as possible into our summer, we took the girls to Lagoon yesterday. They absolutely loved it! Bryce and I went there when we were dating, but that was the last time. They have changed a lot in nine years! They actually have air conditioned bathrooms! I know that probably sounds really strange considering all of the new rides they have added as well, but I really was impressed with the bathrooms! We are actually considering buying season passes next year!

LaKe PoWeLL BaBy!!!

Let me just tell you how much I love Lake Powell! It is absolutely my favorite place in the world! I had forgotten how much I loved it. The last time we went down was when Kaybree was 6 months old...fun, but a very different trip from what we normally do! I took a million pictures so I decided to make a slide show! There are a few pictures I want to highlight...
There is a picture of Oakley standing next to a GINORMOUS fish. Some guy came pulling into the dock with this fish! It was 28 lbs and 44" long! He said that he caught it in only six feet of water!!! AHH! He said a fish that size is normally close to 40 lbs. This one was starving and came to the surface looking for food! AHHHHHH!!!
There is a picture of Kaybree. She lost her second tooth in Lake Powell. The tooth fairy found us alright, but we were a little nervous that she wouldn't!
There are some pictures of the carp at the marina...Did you know if you feed a fish ice-cream, it comes out of their gills leaving a milky trail?
There is also a picture of the dinosaur print at Rainbow Bridge...not many people know about it!

Draper Day's!

Saturday, we went over to the Draper Day's parade. The girls had a blast! The gang included...Marcia and Bruce, Grandma Janet and Grandpa Dean, and my little family

It seemed like we waited forever to see the fireworks. Oakley ended up falling asleep before they even started. (Bryce looks a little gone himself) Once they started she woke up and was able to see them! Yay for Draper Day's!

The Nordstrom Sale!

So as most of you know...I'm a sucker for the Nordstrom Sale! If you haven't gone yet you better go before it ends. It started on Friday, and usually runs for two weeks! If you are thinking it's not much of a sale, well you are horribly wrong! Last year I got some super cute jeans for only $35! That is amazing! This year I bought a few things for me, but focused most of my attention on Kaybree and Oakley for their back to school clothes!

Dental Visits!

This week we had our dental checkups! The girls did awesome! One of the assistants told Oakley that she was getting so big...Oakley glared at her and said, "I'm just little, I don't ever want to grow up. Never, never!" I thought that was pretty funny! Both Kaybree and Oakley had no cavities! Amazing especially after our 4th of July camping trip!

Salt Lake Bees!

Last Monday, we went to the the Bees game! We had lots and lots of fun even though the girls had no idea what was going on! The girls and Daddy!

So needless to say they kept a very safe distance. When suggested that I go kiss the bee, they were eager to sacrifice me!

Fun at the Lake!

We went with some friends up to Rockport Lake yesterday! Well actually, Bryce was driving home from St. George, so really it was only the girl and I with our friends! We had a blast! The girls did the tube, I was able to slalom, wake board, and wake surf! It was sooo fun! Of course I don't have any pictures of me...I felt a little stupid asking our friends to take pictures of me. Next time Bryce comes we will share a few! As for now, here are the girls as usual! Peyton and Kaybree!

Oakely was so tired from all of the fun, she fell asleep in the car on the way home! She has a booster seat now and no where to rest her head, so I held it up for her!

Future Shop Aholics!

After swimming lessons on Thursday, I had to run a few errands. This is what the girls do every time we are in a "mommy" store! Those are tons of bracelets on their arms. And don't forget to check out the shoes! My little shop aholics!

We were able to try out the kid barn with some friends on Wednesday! It was super fun! My pictures aren't very good because the kids wouldn't exactly hold still long enough to take some cute ones!

The End of Swimming Lessons!

The last few weeks the girls have been doing an awesome job with their swimming lessons! They had an incredible teacher that worked really well with the girls. They learned how to float on their backs, how to dive down and pick things up off the pool floor. They learned how to swim across the whole pool without help! They learned how to dive head first too! They also learned some swim techniques...chicken, airplane, soldier...chop, chop timber...and superman! Lots and lots of fun!

I have to admit Bryce has said a few bonehead things to me before...but this takes the cake! Feel free to leave any comments that your husband or wife has said to you! Our 4th of July!

We went camping over the 4th of July! We had a blast with my family. The kids got super dirty and totally sugared up! There were even some of those "You're gonna miss this" moments: Oakley chasing butterflies and Kaybree collecting caterpillars. You can't get that staying in a hotel! All in all we had a great time!
