Bittersweet

Well, you heard it here first...we are closing down our jean business. :( We lost two of our best accounts last week. :( We still could have made it work with the other accounts, but we decided not to. I am very happy that I was able to have this little business venture, and that it was fun and successful! I guess if it has to end, I can't think of a better way for it to happen. At least I can say that I am still friends with my business partner/ neighbor/ friend. (that doesn't happen very often!) Business was fun, but it did take it's toll on my family. Bryce travels a lot and with me doing two parties a week, well it was hard. That is why it is bittersweet for me. I am excited and scared to just be home. I have a very hard time just being home, I feel like I should be contributing to society in some way...I don't know why I always feel like this, but it is my goal to be content. Beside which, raising two daughters IS contributing to society! Probably one of the better contributions out there right?

Kaybree's Baptism Day

Kaybree was baptised on Saturday, January 8th. It was such a wonderful peaceful day. She was so excited, and a little nervous! Kaybree was the only baptism in our ward, so we were able to do the entire program with our family. Both of Kaybree's Grandma's spoke at the baptism and did such a wonderful job. This is a day that we will never forget. We are so proud of Kaybree and the beautiful girl she is becoming. Kaybree and Dad
After the baptism, we had all our friends and family back to our house for cinnamon rolls. (Kaybree's favorite)

So proud of you! Love you lots!

Kaybree's Baptism Pictures!

***WARNING- picture over load***
Here are some of Kaybree's baptism pictures! I seriously could not pick a favorite she was so gorgeous in all of them! I cry every time I see them.
My sister Brooke did such an amazing job! Thank you Brooke!
Some one said this is her second of her three white dresses. The next time she is in a white dress it will be her wedding day. Talk about tear jerker! Can't they stay little forever?

Kaybree turned 8!!!

Can you believe my baby is eight? Kaybree had a super fun birthday! We celebrated her day by going and seeing "Yogi Bear" at the movies, and then to dinner at Red Robin. After going out, we had grandparents over for cake and ice cream!! Kaybree got lots of fun things for her baptism!
Grandma and Grandpa Newbold always get the kids scriptures for their eighth birthday!
Grandma Janet made this CTR towel for her baptism!
Bryce and I gave Kaybree a sewing machine for her birthday! She absolutely loved it!
Watch out...crafter in training!!!

Christmas Day 2010!

I think this picture say's it all! The girls were excited beyond words!! We always make the girls stay in their rooms while we go around and flip on lights, plug in the tree, get the camera ready. We are so mean, but it only adds to the excitement!
They do goofy things when they are excited!
Oakley and her pile of presents!
Kaybree checking out what was in her stocking!

This year was a little different than years past. Usually I try to have some awesome display of gifts under the tree, but this year they asked for things that were little. Not so little when it came to price though! Here were a few items on their lists... DSI, laptop, Ipad, etc... Needless to say they only got one of those items! They were more then happy with their DSI's!!! We had a very Merry Christmas and hope you all did too!

Christmas Party at the Dahle's

Christmas parties at the Dahle house are always quite the event! This year Santa came and he was sooooo neat. He talked about Christ and the true meaning of Christmas. He talked about his Santa Suit and how it resembled Christ. He was the best Santa ever (really) He also did the typical Santa stuff...songs, lap, and gifts! If anyone needs Santa's number next year, let me know! Kaybree talking with Santa! Santa busted her...he had a little talk with her about how she faked sick the Sunday prior to the party! He really DOES see everything!!!
Oakley receiving her gift!
My Mom and Dad!! Santa was a great sport!
My Grandma asked Santa to bring her some RUM! Santa didn't know how to respond to that one! hahaha!
Bryce and I! We've been good this year! Right?!
Santa singing with the kids!
The kids were all sooooo mesmerized!! They were hanging on every word!
After Santa left, we went into my parents garage and swung at a pinata!
Oakley...she really got into it after this picture! After the pinata we went in the house and read a story called "Humbugs" After the story, the kids made cookies that resembled the humbugs!Kaybree and her humbug cookie

Chirstmas Eve at the Newbold's

We spent this Christmas Eve with Bryce's family. It was so much fun! We started out with dinner...different soups, bread bowls, veggies, and of course lots of desserts!! :) Then we cleared out the tables and had a fun little Christmas program. Each child held up a letter and read aloud a little paragraph that pertained to that letter and Christmas...So CUTE!

Then each of the kids reenacted the nativity. Oakley was the Angel, and Kaybree was a sheep! The kids really enjoyed this!
Grandma then read a story to the kids about a boy who got a new coat for Christmas. The boy knew that his friend didn't own a coat at all, and since this boy had an old coat, he gave his new coat to his friend. I can't remember the name of the book, but I will find it out! It was really a great message about giving to others in need. Something the kids could really understand!

Of course you can't leave out presents. That was the last thing that we did. We opened everything from Grandma and Grandpa and cousins! It was a wonderful night!

Christmas Dance Recital 2010

We made it through another Christmas Dance Recital!! I actually love going to their dance recitals and seeing my girls perform, it's just the rest of the dances that make it tough to endure! hahaha! My girls as usual did an awesome job! It is so much fun to see them grow up and what they have accomplished throughout the year! Posing with their flowers!
Kaybree danced to "Bad Boy" I really didn't get a great picture of her...Oh well this one will do!

Oakley danced to "Zat You Santa Claus?" Oakley is right smack in the middle!

Family night at Temple Square!!

As you should all know by now...I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!! This year we went down to Temple Square for family night to see all the beautiful lights. They were selling Hot Chocolate and cookies, so those were a must!! So much fun! Our little family
