Brooke has been doing photography for a while now. She even did my engagement pictures over eight years ago! (back before digital cameras! Don't I sound old?) She really has a natural talent! She has set up a blog for it. Please check it out and see her awesome work! Good Job Brooke!

Fun at Classic!

I know what you are thinking, "can that place really still be opened?" It is still opened and so much fun! It still has the rollerskating rink but they have added a bounce center and a playground, hence the plastic balls! We went today for a birthday party for one of our great little friends Ellie! The girls had so much fun and can't wait to go back. It's only $5 for the entire day, and they let you bring in your own food!

Weekly Recap!

Happy Anniversary to us! We had a blast all day. We started the day down town at Sanctuary Day Spa, they offer fabulous couples massages. By the time those were over, it was time for lunch. We just ate at Subway in the food court. (nothing too fancy) That is when I gave Bryce the Jazz tickets. He was soooo excited. He didn't understand that we were actually going to the game at first. He couldn't believe I was being so nice! Ha.Ha.Ha! After Lunch we went to a movie we saw Maid Of Honor. (which I thought was so funny) After the movie we did some shopping, then had dinner at Ruby River Steakhouse. Yum! Then off to the game.
I decided that I am a bad luck charm. Every time I have ever been to a game they always loose. We had lots of fun anyway. We actually met up with my parents! After eight years of marriage it's okay to have parents tag along for your anniversary! (right?)
Mother-like-Daughter or is it Daughter-like-Mother?
Girl's Night Out!
Girl's Night Out Again! Brooke wanted me to make sure I mentioned that she is in the front, there for making her bigger than the rest of us. We went to dinner and a movie. This time we saw What Happen In Vegas! It is seriously hilarious! I think I laughed the entire time!
Me having a little fun with Patrick Dempsey!

Surprise! Surprise!

Mine and Bryce's anniversary is on Friday, May 16th! Eight whole years! Anyway, Bryce and I are going to just spend the whole day together. Get massages, go to lunch, a movie, then do some shopping, and then have dinner at The Melting Pot. Well, that is what Bryce thinks! I got him (us) tickets to the Jazz game! Hee..hee! He is going to be so surprised! The only thing is, should I tell him now and let him be excited for a couple of days, or should I wait and give him the tickets at lunch on Friday?

Also, we have a loose tooth at our house! Does anyone have any cute Tooth Fairy traditions, or ideas?

Happy Mother's Day!

I know I'm a little late, but I still wanted to wish all my friends and every other mother that reads this a Happy Mother's Day. I know, as well as anyone, how hard a task mothering can be. I am so thankful for my mom and the great example she set for me. She is a wonderful person and I'm proud to call her mine. Love Ya Mom!

I also wanted to thank everyone who helped me out this last year. It was Mother's Day last year that I got sick. Everything is fine now, and all the stinkin' weight came back, (unfortunately) but all is well. Thank you to everyone who prayed and was concerned for me!

Our Little Vacation!

This week we went with Bryce to St. George! Bryce works down there often and sometimes we go with him. We seriously had so much fun! Definitely a needed break!
Bryce does however have to work. He takes the car and I take the double stroller! If your thinking that my kids are too big for the stroller, you're right, they are, but it sure beats the complaining I would have heard if I hadn't had it with me! Oh, and let me tell you, what a workout I got! We stayed at the Marriott and everywhere I went from there was all up hill! I really wanted to contact some of my St. George blog friends, (You know who you are) I feel like I know everyone so much better now. So let me know if you want me to contact you next time we come down. We could have some fun at the pool or something! Or I could walk to your house or something! Ha..Ha.Ha.!! Here are the girls in the stroller. We were about to take all those newspapers in Kaybree's hands back to the front desk. The girls woke up before us. They opened the door without us knowing, ran down the hallway and collected all of the newspapers from the doors of all the Marriott guests. I hope they didn't mind! I definitely deserve mother of the year award.
We walked to the outlet stores. They have a store there called The Bear Mill. It is similar to Build-a-bear. We picked out some bears, stuffed them with fluff, gave them love, an outfit, and then named them!

Here are the girls at the pool. We stayed at the pool for a very long time! That night we went to dinner at Chili's. While at Chili's this little old lady came up to me and said, "You have the most well behaved children! It was a pleasure dinning next to you!" I thanked her politely, but when she left, I had to laugh! Would she had said that had it been any other day? The girls were about to fall asleep in their plates! They were so tired from swimming! It did make me happy though!

Mother's Day Plans!

I was in getting ready for church today when I over heard Bryce asking the girls what they should get me for Mother's Day next week. Oakely said "A tweet" Bryce asked what kind of treat? She said "a chocolate tweet and a diet coke" Then Kaybree piped up and said, "maybe we should get her a sticky eye ball and some perfume." I couldn't help but laugh! They really know how to get to my heart! Chocolate, Diet Coke, a Sticky Eye Ball, and some Perfume! What else could a mama want?

My Poor Poor Mom!!!

While I was babysitting last week, my Mom and I were cutting squares of fabric to make quilts for the festival of trees. While my Mom was cutting, she cut off the side of her finger! It was soooo gross! I seriously had no idea of what to do. I know when you knock out a tooth you stick it in a glass of milk. I know that if it's a cut, apply pressure and get stitches, but what do you do when the whole side of your finger is on the table? Well, all you can do is apply pressure. I ran my Mom to the instacare. ( I'm very familiar with that place.) When we got there there were a few other people checking in. We waited a few minutes and they brought out a nurse to see my Mom's finger. My Mom was sitting on a chair with her head down. She felt like she was going to pass out. The nurse looked at her finger, then she kept pushing on her finger and then pulling back the paper towel we had wrapped around her finger, again and again and again. This was obviously causing pain to my Mom, she kept pulling her finger back away from the nurse and lifting up her legs! At this point another patient in the waiting room told me that I had better sit down. I guess I lost all color in my face and looked like I was going to pass out! Seriously, it was so gross! Anyway, they put this foam stuff on my Mom's finger to cauterize the blood vessels so they would stop bleeding. Then they put a splint on it and wrapped it really tight. My poor, poor Mom! They said that her finger would just grow back. I brought the side of her finger with me thinking that maybe they could just stitch it back on, but they can't it's now considered dead tissue. So, what did I learn from this...there is nothing you can do for a cut off, and I'm a wimp!

Tagged Again!

Who do you love? Bryce, Kaybree, and Oakley! And of course all my family.
How long have you been married? In two weeks it will be 8 years!
Who said I love you first? probably me!
How long did you date? we dated for 5 months and were engaged for almost 5.
Where did he propose? At my house. It was Christmas Eve. Bryce came over to my house. I thought we were going to go to the mall. I was upset with Brooke because she had borrowed some of my clothes without asking! So of course I wasn't ready to go when Bryce got there. To top it all off, he had a present with him. He told me that his Grandma had knitted me a sweater that I was supposed to wear that night! I made him wait for me for awhile before I was ready (Poor Guy!) Then he couldn't wait any longer he made me open the present. There was another smaller present inside that one, and another inside that one. I still didn't understand that he was proposing because that is really what my Grandma does with our gifts. So the entire time I still thought the gift was from his Grandma! I soon realized it was a ring! He got down on his knee and proposed!
Who is taller? Bryce, he is 6'3" I am 5'6"
Who is smarter? He's smarter about somethings, and I'm smarter about other things. I like to think of us as well balanced.
Who does the laundry? I do.
Who pays the bills? We pay them together
Who mows the lawn? Bryce. I do the flowers and the weeds.
Who cooks dinner? Mostly me, unless I'm sick then we get a pizza or something!
Who drives? Bryce, if he has been out of town and driving a lot then I will.
Who is more stubborn? I don't know it might be a toss up.
Who can sing better? I would have to say neither of us!
Now I get to tag a few of my friends.... Marcie, Liza, Jamie and Brooke!

Deep Thoughts! #1

So, let me just tell you a little about the last two weeks. We have been to the doctor's office three times. One time for Kaybree, (I already posted that one) and twice for Oakley. She has had ear infections again as well. I am going to take her to an Ear, Nose, Throat specialist now. She has had tubes before, it looks like it's time for another set. Ugh! Oh and yes, Doctor Johnson did end up getting those caramel brownies after two different batches. I ate the first batch, my thighs are thanking me for those. Anyway, last week was also very fun, Bryn was in town and we got to do a few fun things with her. Yeah!

This week I am babysitting Brooke and Jer's boys. Brooke and Jer are on a cruise and I am home with four kids. I think I'd rather be cruising! Needless to say, I'm insanely jealous!

One thing that you may not know about me is.... I LOVE deep thoughts! I think they are just hilarious! Whenever I am not feeling up to par, I whip out my deep thoughts and end up rolling on the ground! I first stumbled upon them when I was a junior in high school. My favorite back then was...

To me, it's a good idea to always carry two sacks of something when you walk around. That way, if anybody says, "Hey, can you give me a hand?" You can say, "Sorry, got these sacks."

Of course that was my favorite! We would be on the boat and someone would yell for a life jacket and I would say, "sorry, got these sacks" ha..ha..ha! Don't worry nobody got hurt!
Anyway, there you have it, I LOVE deep thoughts and will be sharing a few of them with you from time to time! Here is another...

I think a good product would be "Baby Duck Hat." It's a fake baby duck, which you strap on top of your head. Then you go swimming under water until you find a mommy duck and her babies, and you join them. Then all of the sudden, you stand up out of the water and roar like Godzilla. Man those ducks really take off! Also Baby Duck Hat is good for parties.

Yep, gotta love 'em!

Back to the Dr.

So, we were back to the doctor's office today! This time for Kaybree. She has pink eye and one ear infection. We see Dr. Johnson at Family First Pediatrics. He is really good with my kids. We stared seeing him when Kaybree was a baby. A few years later he moved into my parents ward. We lived at my parents house while we built our home and got to know him pretty well. I joke that I bought all of the brick on his house due to all of our dr. visits! (I'm sure I probably did!) We've even had to make a few late night house calls! Poor Guy! Of course when we bug him at home, I definitely bring goodies. Now that Dr. Johnson knows about my caramel brownies, that was his request today! So now I have a sick child and I have to bake for him! Seriously, was the brick not enough! Just Kidding! Thanks Dr. Johnson!

Minnie Ears

Last night we went to check on the girls before we went to bed. This is what we found when we entered Oakley's room! She fell asleep with her Minnie ears on! She seriously cracks me up! She marches to her own music!

Children's Museum

Last week we went to the Children's Museum. They have the Sesame Street exhibit there right now. It is going to leave soon so go quick if you want to see it! We went with smoe of our really good friends! Aren't we cute! Kaybree and her good friend Sadie!
Kaybree playing in the little store. Notice what she is pointing to. (definitely my daughter)
Oakley playing with the scanner. She is never looking at the camera! She tricks me, looks for half a second then looks away!
And of course, I had to pick it. Not a nose out there that I haven't picked!

Show and Tell

Kaybree had show and tell at school today. This is what she decided to take. A picture of Mark and Bryn. She told her class this is her aunt and uncle. She told them that they live in New Orleans and that their house had water in it. I think she did petty well. None of that was rehearsed. She knew exactly what happened to Aunt Bryn and Uncle Mark. In case you didn't know or gather from this, Bryn and Mark were living in New Orleans when Hurricane Katrina hit. They had to come back to Utah because they were living next to Lake Pontchartrain. The levees broke and flooded everything. They moved back to New Orleans after everything dried out again. Anyway, Kaybree really wanted to tell her friend all about her Aunt Bryn and Uncle Mark. We miss you guys! Love ya!
