FIRST Day of FIRST Grade!!!

K started first grade!!!!! she absolutely LOVES it!!!! I would be lying if I said that I wasn't sad. I did shed a few tears, but those were short lived!!!! I know, I know that sounds really mean, but K was READY to start school!! She is sooo smart and always wanting to be involved with everything!!! She enjoys reading and playing school. She just can't get enough of it! (I'm sure that will change in the future!) She is full of energy and life! She loves her friends and constantly wants to play with all of them! Therefore, school is the best place for her!!! hahaha
You might ask what O does while K is gone......? Well, she makes herself a bed right in the middle of the family room and watches what ever show SHE wants!!!! O actually really misses "Bug" and is constantly asking when she will come home. It's really kind of sad. I keep calling little friends to come play and keep her busy!

Gary Clark

I have been struggling with what to say, but feel that I have to say something in honor of my best friends dad. Gary Clark passed away July 22nd....It has been such a sad time for Amy and her family, and all around. Gary was such an easy going guy, that loved to have fun! He was the typical dad always getting in trouble for the "guy" things he would say, but kept us all laughing with his off the wall comments! He always had great advice when it came to dating, money, anything really!!! My favorite advice though, was when he told Amy to go to a shooting range to meet guys!!! hahaha!! He was very clever and witty! He always kept you on your toes. Gary, you will be greatly missed. I hope you know that your family loves you, and that you left behind the best people in the world.

My cousin and his son...

July 18th, my cousin, Jared Perry and his son, Dwayne, were in a terrible accident on highway 201. Jared was going west when two cars pulled out in front of him. He swerved and missed the first car, but ended up T-boning the second car. The second car had 7 passengers inside. 6 of the 7 passengers were killed instantly. Jared and Dwayne survived, but have been in the hospital with MAJOR injuries. (They were actually released last week.)

Jared's injuries include, shattered right leg, shattered right hand and wrist, broken right hip, and damage to his spleen. They have done lots of surgeries already. They did surgery on his hip immediately. They then removed his spleen, and later did surgery on his leg and hand. Doctors have said that he will not be able to walk for at least 6 months...

Little Dwayne, his injuries were mostly caused from his seat belt, but, his seat belt DID save his life. The seat belt severed his intestines, and broke his back. Doctors had to remove half of his intestines, and half of his colon. Later they did back surgery and fused 4 vertebra's together. Poor little guy! I do have to say that Little Dwayne is such a trooper! He has done so well and is pulling through!! They will both have a long hard road ahead of them, but we are so glad that they are here to take it!!! Love you guys, get better soon!!

This is a picture, from the news, of the accident... So very sad. Our hearts and prayers have been going out to My cousin and son, and the poor family that lost their lives that day.

Nordstrom's and Kneaders!

After I got the phone call last Monday from the nurse saying I may have lupus, they scheduled me an appointment for that Thursday. I went in, they told me exactly what the nurse said on the phone. They said that my ANA's came back positive, and they also ran a test called a double stranded DNA test. It came back positive too. the Dr. said that 98% of positive double stranded DNA patients have lupus. They can't figure out why I don't have any symptoms. (I think it is because I am the 2% that doesn't actually have it) So along with the obvious signs of lupus, lupus also attacks your organs. Another confusing thing for the Dr.'s is that my SGOT levels came back normal this time. That is the first test I had that was high indicating that I may have heart, kidney, or liver damage. Well it came back normal this time meaning it was high due to surgery, that my organs are fine. So, I have no symptoms, and my organs are fine. The Dr. said he wanted to rule out all organs, so he ordered a colonoscopy for Monday the 20th. This is where it gets fun!! hahaha So Sunday, I had to do the colonoscopy prep....let me just say that was great fun....I am exactly 3 pounds full of sh......crap! hahaha Monday I went in for the colonoscopy. They sedated me so I could not remember a thing!! Seriously, it wasn't bad at all!! It took all of 20 minutes! All I remember was going back into the procedure room, they put something in my IV, I started to feel loopy....I remember telling the Dr. that he had a crappy job.....then nothing! After the procedure, the Dr. wheeled me out to Bryce. He told Bryce, "You have a shopper on your hands. All she talked about was Nordstrom's and Kneaders!" Bryce thought that was pretty funny!! (I say, it is obvious that I went to my happy places!!) Well the Dr. told us that I have a very HEALTHY colon! There was nothing wrong there either!! I told the Dr. , "condoms are 99.8% effective, and you hear of people getting pregnant all of the time off of condoms!! So there is definitely a chance that I could be this 2%" he didn't exactly know how to respond to that...... hahaha

Here's What is Going On With Me....

So back in February, I had that cyst that ruptured. Well after the surgery they wanted me to come in a few weeks later and have a follow up appointment. So I went in, they had no record of my blood being drawn since I had Oakley, so they wanted to run the normal tests. A week later they called and said that my SGOT levels were high. This means I was showing signs of heart, kidney, or liver damage. They told me they wanted me to go see an Internal Medicine Dr. I got an apt. The internal Dr. said that it was possible that these SGOT levels were high due to my recent surgery. (duh! Why am I here than!) He said he would like me to come back in a month and do more blood work to compare the two. Well, I really didn't think anything of it. One month from my appointment would have been while we were in Disneyland, so of course I didn't go. Well last week Bryce reminded me that I still had not gone back in, so I did. (I didn't need an appointment for the blood draw, I could just go in.) Well, the nurse called back on Monday and said that there were more abnormalities with my blood work, something was wrong with my ANA's. (???) The nurse said that is possible that I may have lupus! They are not sure, they want more blood tests! I googled lupus, and I have NONE of the symptoms, so I really think these Dr.'s are up in the night.
I am a little irritated with the whole situation because I feel FINE! I hate going to the Dr. and especially when I feel like nothing is wrong. I feel like they are going to drag me through all these test just to say, hmmm... we don't know why your blood is the way it is! I feel like an opposite hypochondriac! They think something is wrong with me and I do not! And personally I would rather spend my money on other things rather than copay's when nothing is wrong! I have another apt for tomorrow to give them more of my blood, but I will actually be talking with the Dr. this time. I will keep you all updated. Does anyone know anyone with lupus?

Family Night Bees!!

Last night we took the girls to the Bees game down town. I feel bad for Bryce not having any boys to share his passions with, so we try extra hard to do the things Bryce loves!! Baseball is one of Bryce's sports! I don't know if you know this, but Bryce pitched for Bingham, and had a few baseball scholarships!! He also played basketball and golf while at Bingham. Here we are loving the things Bryce loves!! The whole FamDamily!!
The girls were sooo brave to take their picture with the Bee!! Last year they made me take a picture of the Bee without them in it! They are VERY nervous when it comes to big costume things!! hahaha

We had a great weekend up at Lagoon!! We decided this year to get season passes to Lagoon because last year was just so much fun!! This year so far we have gone 4 times. After going twice you have already paid for your season pass. (definitely worth it!) Anyway, we went two days this weekend. The first day we spent riding the rides and wearing the kids out! I had her on my shoulders earlier, and she wanted to be up there again. I told her they were just too tired, but I could give her a piggy back. This is what happened next!
